LES VEILLÉES DU PATRIMOINE

The Valloires Gardens are partnering with the Regional Natural Park and its Land of Art and History for the "Heritage Evenings"!
This monthly event, combining history, heritage, and live performance, visits the Regional Natural Park's iconic heritage sites with guided tours and various performances on each date.
As part of this partnership, we offer an evening event combining a guided tour of the Gardens with a performance by the company Piano à pouce.

2 slots to choose from (limited capacity):
Show at 4:30 p.m. followed by a tour of the Gardens at 5:30 p.m.
Tour of the Gardens at 5:30 p.m. followed by the performance at 6:30 p.m.

The restaurant "La Table du Jardinier" will be exceptionally open on Saturday evenings. Remember to reserve your table by calling 03 22 23 71 13.

LES RENDEZ-VOUS AUX JARDINS

Guided tour at 3 p.m.

"Stones in the Garden: From Gilles Clément to Jean-Baptiste Lamarck" Facing the Abbey's magnificent stone monument, the Valloires Gardens harmoniously display plants and minerals, arranged according to the original idea of Gilles Clément, the site's designer.
The evolution garden and the various "mineral" rooms dedicated to the Picard biologist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck are a good example and allow visitors to learn more about this figure.

PAINTERS' DAY

10am to 5pm

For one day, the Valloires gardens are transformed into an open-air painter's studio. Beginner, amateur or experienced painters are welcome.

Highlights of the day:
10am: Introduction to watercolour with Evelyne Leroy
2pm to 5pm: Book signing session for the book "Peindre les fleurs à l'Aquarelle" by Evelyne Leroy.
2.30pm to 5.30pm: Small poetic infusion with Isabelle Baudelet from La Fabrique poétique
5pm: Exhibition of the day's creations and closing cocktail.

THEATRICALLY ENGAGED VISITS TO THE ABBEY

Discover history in a different way

Louis, an artist-craftsman, a jack-of-all-trades, both a sculptor and a painter, and a friend of Simon Pfaff, who worked on the reconstruction of the church in the 18th century, and Jeanne, a nurse who arrived in 1922 with Thérèse Papillon for the creation of the preventorium, will recount the history and stories of Valloires Abbey.
A moving and humorous dialogue will develop between the two characters.

Dates and times : From July 22nd to August 21st, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. + Saturday, August 16th at the same times.
Duration : 1 hour

From March to November, take a 1hour 30 guided tour of the gardens.

He'll give you all the keys you need to understand the history of the site, introduce you to interesting and emblematic varieties and give you a better understanding of how the gardens were designed by landscape architect Gilles Clément.
